XTM Connect – Adobe Experience Manager

Changing the global default translation service provider (Adobe Experience Manager Cloud Services settings)

The instructions below are intended for system administrators who are responsible for configuring the Adobe Experience Manager site. The settings described below should not be changed except by system administrators who are authorized to do so: they will affect the processing of every translation project created using the XTM Cloud connector.

The default translation service provider for translation jobs processed in the XTM Cloud connector is set in the Cloud Configuration, in the Adobe Experience Manager site root. This service provider will apply for any translation project generated from the References screen.

Refer to this topic if you want to permanently change the default translation service provider for translation projects generated from the References screen. This is different from changing the translation service provider for translation projects generated from a particular space in the Assets screen (see Changing the translation service provider for a project).

Warning

This change will affect all translation projects generated for a particular site, from the References screen! Be cautious about changing the default translation service provider.

You will also find more details in Configuring the Translation Integration Framework (Adobe Inc. online help).

To change the selected default Cloud Configuration:
  1. On the Global Navigation panel, select the Assets icon. You see the Assets screen.

  2. In the left-hand menu, open the dropdown menu to select References.

  3. In the References screen site listing, select the appropriate folder. To do so, select the "tick" button at the top of the (big) folder icon. Example: WKND Site. The folder's contents are displayed in the References column on the left. Menu options are displayed in the menu above the folder listing.

  4. Select the Properties menu.

  5. Select the Cloud Services tab.

  6. In the Configuration section, you see the Cloud Configuration that has been set for the folder you are looking at (if any).

    Example: /conf/wknd.

  7. If necessary, change the set Cloud Configuration (default translation service provider). To do so:

    1. Select the checkbox on the right-hand side of the Cloud Configuration field. The Select Path popup is displayed.

    2. Select the path to the required translation service provider.

    3. Select the Select button. The Select Path popup closes. You see the path containing your selected translation service provider’s settings, in the Cloud Configuration field. (You do not simply see the provider's name.)

Result: you have changed the default translation service provider for translation projects generated from the References screen.

  8. To save your changes and close the window, select Save & Close. You return to the Assets References screen.
