XTM Connect – Adobe Experience Manager

Providing advanced debug information to XTM Support

From release 2.5.2, the way failed translation projects are handled has been enhanced. The following approach has been implemented:

  1. When a translation project fails, for some reason, in XTM Cloud, a JSON file is generated and details about the failed project, and potential reasons for failure, are stored in it.

  2. An error message is displayed in the Adobe Experience Manager user interface to inform the Translation Requester that the project has failed, This message contains a URL link relating to the JSON file.

  3. The Translation Requester clicks on the link. The JSON file is downloaded from XTM Cloud and attached to a support ticket about the failed project.

  4. The Translation Requester completes the ticket and sends it to XTM International Support, with the attached JSON file.

  5. XTM International Support uses the information in the ticket and JSON file to debug the issue.

Using an attached JSON file enables a great deal of useful and often crucial information to be gathered and provided to XTM International Support. It will speed up the provision of support for and resolution of any issues.
