Translating the Launch

The steps below provide an overview of how to translate a Launch. For more details, see Managing Translation Projects (Adobe Inc. online help).

To translate an Adobe Experience Manager Launch, follow these steps:
  1. Create a new translation project in Adobe Experience Manager. This should be a single project that will cover the translation of the rest of the supported languages.

  2. Configure the project according to your needs:

    • Choose a relevant source and target language.

    • Set the required Cloud Configuration path.

    • Select the required translation provider.

  3. Once the project has been created and configured, add the Launch pages to each translation job. In the content tree, Launches are located under /content/launches/....

    Warning

    It is necessary to point to every page individually. If you only pick a parent path and include children, this will not work correctly, meaning that a language copy will not be created.

    Also ensure that the base language content has been copied to every individual target language for which you prepare a Launch. This base language copy will provide a target form which translation can actually be launched, for each target language.

  4. Repeat steps 1. to 3 for each translation job configured in your translation project.

  5. Once all the jobs are ready, you can generate an XTM Cloud project in which to translate them. Depending on the number of assets to be translated, it might take some time to generate the project.
