General Translation Cloud Service settings

Make these General Translation Cloud Service settings in Adobe Experience Manager.

To configure Translation Cloud Services for XTM Cloud:
  1. Log in to Adobe Experience Manager.

  2. In the Navigation screen, select the Tools icon on the left.

  3. In the list on the left, select the Cloud Services option. The Tools window is displayed.

  4. Select the Translation Cloud Services icon. The Translation Cloud Services window is displayed.

  5. Click on the conf folder on the left (you do not need to select its checkbox).

  6. Click on the required folder to the right of the conf folder. (Example: the WKND Site folder.) The Create button is displayed in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

  7. Select the Create button. The Create Configuration window is displayed.

  8. In the configuration type dropdown at the top of the popup, select XTM Connector.

  9. In the Title field, enter a name for this instance of the XTM Cloud connector.

  10. Optional: in the Name field, enter the Adobe Experience Manager internal name. (Must not contain spaces.)

  11. Select the Create button. The popup closes and the Edit Configuration screen, containing the XTM Translation Connector Settings, is displayed.

  12. Make these settings in the General tab:

    Field name

    Description

    Web Service URI

    Enter the URI for the XTM Cloud web service link.

    Example: https://api-test.xtm- intl.com/project-manager-api/services/v2/projectmanager/XTMWebService?wsdl

    Company

    Enter the company name assigned in XTM Cloud.

    User ID

    Enter the user's unique ID in XTM Cloud.

    Password

    Enter the user's password for XTM Cloud. Used when interacting with XTM Cloud.

    Project Manager ID

    Optional: enter the ID of a Project Manager who is to be set as the default Project Manager for all new XTM Cloud translation projects. This person will also be sent any callback email notifications generated on the basis of the settings in the Callbacks tab.

    If you do not specify a default Project Manager in this field, the person identified in the User ID setting is used instead.

  13. Connect to XTM button: to test the settings you have made, and make sure that the connection to XTM Cloud has been configured correctly, you can select this button.

    • If the connection is established correctly, no screen message will be displayed. Continue making settings.

    • If the connection is not established correctly, a screen message is displayed, to warn you. Check the settings you have made, and correct them. Then test the connection again.

      Warning

      Do not proceed until the connection is configured correctly and working properly.

  14. Customer: Select the ID of the default XTM Cloud customer for which this instance of the XTM Cloud connector will be used. This XTM Cloud Customer is created in XTM Cloud.

  15. Template: Select the default customer-specific template that is used for translations that are to be sent to XTM Cloud, from this instance of the XTM Cloud connector.

  16. Make optional settings in the Advanced tab, if required.

  17. Make optional settings in the Callbacks tab, if required.

  18. Finalize the Translation Cloud Service configuration.
