Upgrading to a newer version of the XTM Cloud connector

The upgrade procedure is the same as the installation procedure. When the upgrade package is installed, the XTM Cloud connector settings remain unchanged, so there is no need to enter settings again.

Tip

We recommend that you finish all translation projects, in XTM Cloud, and import them back into Adobe Experience Manager, before upgrading to a newer version.

After upgrading to a newer version, it is good practice to check your existing configurations, to make sure they are still correct and working properly.

To install an upgrade package, follow the instructions for installing an XTM Cloud connector installation package.

Warning

Upgrades from XTM Cloud connector v1.5.3.3 or older

If you are upgrading your system from XTM Cloud connector v1.5.3.3 or older, it is important to check that XTM Connector is still selected as the translation provider for both Sites and Assets in every Translation Integration configuration that uses XTM Connector as a translation provider. This is necessary because of changes in the default XTM Connector TranslationServiceFactory configuration.

To check that XTM Connector is still the selected translation provider:
  1. Follow the procedure detailed in Connecting to a translation service provider in the Adobe Inc. online help. When you do so, select XTM Connector as the translation service provider.

  2. Save the Adobe Experience Manager Translation Integration Framework configuration.

  3. Close the configuration popup in Adobe Experience Manager.
