Assets: other binary formats

Content in a binary format that is not natively supported in XTM Cloud (such as media files) can still be added to a translation project. If so, this content is processed in a special workflow, provided that the Workflow for non analyzable files option is selected in the active XTM Cloud project template.

Asset metadata can also be translated.

Content Fragments

In Adobe Experience Manager, Content Fragments are a type of page-independent content, usually consisting of blocks of plain text. They are intended for reuse, as a way to prepare content for multiple locations or over multiple channels.

Guides (DITA content)

Adobe Experience Manager Guides is an application deployed onto Adobe Experience Manager. It enables native DITA support in Adobe Experience Manager, enabling Adobe Experience Manager to handle DITA-based content creation and delivery.

Language copies

Files containing source content, copied to <language copy> folders. These contain the working copies in which content can be customized or translated. Language copies are the standard form in which content is translated, in Adobe Experience Manager.

Launches

In Adobe Experience Manager Sites, Launches can be created to enable changes to be made to existing content, ready for future publication, while maintaining current pages and using them without those changes.

Links and hyperlinks

Links and hyperlinks in source Adobe Experience Manager content are translatable in the normal way, in XTM Cloud.

Live copies

In Adobe Experience Manager Sites, Live copies are used to produce market-specific translations of existing content. In a Live copy, you can specify which rollout configurations are to be used for synchronizing the content.

Sites

In Adobe Experience Manager, Sites are used as containers for related content.

Tags

Tags inserted in text or other content files control how content is handled, displayed or processed. Tags can also be translated.

i18n content

Strings that are translated to localize software user interfaces and related content can also be translated.
