XTM Connect – Adobe Experience Manager

Canceling a translation job

You can cancel a translation job in an XTM Cloud project if its status is Committed For Translation or Translation In Progress (before it reaches Translated status). If you do so, what happens to the project is specified in the configuration for this instance of the XTM Cloud connector. (See the When cancelling an XTM project setting, in the Advanced Translation Cloud Service Administrator settings).

This setting has these values, one of which applies globally for all translation projects created in the XTM Cloud connector, if selected:

  • Archive the project

  • Delete the project, keep its translation memory

  • Delete the project and its translation memory

To cancel a translation job, in a project:
  1. Display the translation project.

  2. In the relevant Translation job pane, select the down arrow to see the dropdown menu.

  3. Select Cancel. You see a Warning popup which informs you that cancelling the project will also delete resources for which translation is in progress or has been completed.

  4. To cancel the project, select Yes.

Result: The project is cancelled. An email notification is generated and sent to the relevant XTM Cloud Project Manager to inform them.

In addition, the project is handled as defined in the When cancelling an XTM project setting in the Advanced Translation Cloud Service Administrator settings:

    • Archive the project

    • Delete the project, keep its translation memory

    • Delete the project and its translation memory
