Creating a Launch

To create a launch:
  1. In Adobe Experience Manager, select the Sites icon. The main Sites screen is displayed. In it, each set of pages is listed by name, on the left.

  2. Select the arrow to the right of the name for the set of pages that you want to add to a Launch. The pages are displayed.

  3. Select the Create button at the top left-hand side of the screen. The Create menu is displayed.

  4. Select the Launch option. The Create Launch page is displayed.

  5. Select the relevant pages.

  6. If required for a particular launch. include an entire sub-tree of the content. To do so, select the Include subpages slider in the list lines for the relevant pages.

  7. Select the Next button at the top of the screen, on the right. A second Create Launch page is displayed.

  8. In the Launch Title field, enter the launch name.

  9. Configure the Launch:

    • To use existing content, select the with existing content checkbox.

      • If you select this checkbox, you can also select the Inherit source page live data checkbox. If you do so, you make the Launch you are creating a Live Copy.

    • To use a different template, select the using a new template to replace the page checkbox.

      • If you select this checkbox, the Inherit source page live data checkbox is hidden.

  10. In the Launch Date field, use the date picker to set the planned launch promotion date.

  11. To finish creating the Launch, select the Create button at the top of the screen, on the right. A Success popup is displayed and confirms that the Launch has been created.

  12. To close the popup without opening the Launch, select Done. Alternatively, to close the popup and then open the Launch, select Open.

  13. If you selected Open:

    • the popup closes

    • the Language Masters screen is displayed

    • the Launch is displayed in a separate screen, in a new tab.

Note

A launch configuration requires target pages for every single language that the launch needs to be prepared for. When these target pages have been configured, content changes are pushed to all language branches when the launch is promoted.
