Importing translation projects

Translation projects are usually imported into Sitecore automatically. Automatic import can fail if, for example:

  • there are network issues (because, for example, the Automatically return translations from XTM to CMS URL setting has not been set, or is incorrect, in the Sitecore configuration).

  • the Sitecore system is down.

If required, you can also import projects manually. They will then be returned to Sitecore with the other finished projects in the Translation queue during the next synchronization run.

Note

You can only import projects back into Sitecore manually if their XTM Status is Finished.

To import one or more translation projects using the Actions menu:
  1. Select the translation project or projects that you want to import. To do so, select the checkbox to the left of each project name.

  2. Select the Actions menu at the top of the screen, on the left.

  3. Select the Import option. An Import popup is displayed.

  4. In the popup:

    • To confirm that you want to import the projects, select Import items.

      Result: a screen message confirms that you have imported the projects.

    • If you do not want to import the projects, select Cancel. The popup closes.
