XTM Connect – Sitecore User Guide for Translation Requesters

Changing the target languages in a project

When you create a new translation project, in the Add content popup, target languages will usually have been specified in the project template on which the project is based. You can, if required, change the project target language(s) when you are creating the project.

Alternatively, you can do so in the Translation queue, after the project has been added to it. If you do so, you can only change the target language(s) for one project at a time.

Note

You can only change the target languages for a project that has been sent for translation.

To change the target languages in a project, using its context menu icon:
  1. Select the translation project. To do so, select the checkbox to the left of its name.

  2. Select the context menu for the project. This icon is located on the far right of the screen, in the project line. It contains three dots.

  3. Select Edit languages. An Edit languages popup is displayed and you are prompted to change the project target language(s).

  4. In the Edit languages popup:

    • Open the languages list dropdown.

    • Either select the Select all button, to select languages, or select the checkboxes for individual languages, to select them.

  5. To save your language selections, select Save.

Result: a screen message confirms that you have changed the project target language(s). Select Close to close the popup.

Alternatively, select Cancel to leave the project target language(s) unchanged. The popup closes.
