Exporting project details to MS Excel

In the Translation queue tab screen, you can export project details to an MS Excel file. You can only export all project details for all projects in the list. It is not possible to filter projects and only output the details for selected files to an MS Excel file.

The following categories of details are exported for each project:

  • Project name

  • Source language

  • Target language

  • Requester

  • Date created

  • Due date

  • XTM workflow step

  • Progress

  • Status

Note

If you export the details for a particular project, and a particular value has not been defined in that project, the worksheet cell for that value will be blank, even if the column heading for that value is listed in the spreadsheet. Examples: Customer and XTM workflow step.

If a project whose details are exported to MS Excel has not yet been sent to XTM Cloud, its status will be “Not sent for translation yet” in the MS Excel output.

To export the project details for all projects:
  1. Select the Export button at the top of the screen, on the right. XTM Connect – Sitecore exports the selected project's details to an MS Excel spreadsheet and places it in your computer's local Downloads folder.

  2. You can now access the MS Excel spreadsheet there, and process it as required.

Warning

If a very large number of projects are listed in the Translation queue, and you export all their details, the resulting MS Excel spreadsheet might be very large, and contain a lot of unuseful data. Consider if it is really necessary to export the details for all projects to MS Excel.
