Creating a backup of the XTM Translation folder

The XTM Translation folder in the Sitecore Content Editor contains all Sitecore content that is to be translated in XTM Cloud. It is sent for translation there by XTM Connect. For data security, you can do the following:

To create a backup of all XTM Translation folder contents:
  1. In the Sitecore Content Editor screen, select the XTM Translation folder.

  2. Right-click the XTM Translation name.

  3. In the context menu, select Duplicate.

  4. A pop-up is displayed, in which you are prompted to enter a name for your backup. Enter the backup name.

    Note

    The backup name must not contain:

    • full stops

    • forward slashes or backslashes

  5. Select OK to confirm and close the popup.

    Result: Your backup, containing the duplicated folder, with all its contents, is placed beside the original XTM Translation folder in the Sitecore Content Editor screen.

To create a backup of specific XTM Translation folder contents:
  1. In the Sitecore Content Editor screen, select the right arrow to the left of XTM Translation folder. The folder opens.

  2. In the XTM Translation folder, right-click the name of the folder or individual file that you want to back up.

  3. Right-click the XTM Translation name.

  4. In the context menu, select Duplicate.

  5. A pop-up is displayed, in which you are prompted to enter a name for your backup. Enter the backup name.

    Note

    The backup name must not contain:

    • full stops

    • forward slashes or backslashes

  6. Select OK to confirm and close the popup window.

    Result: Your backup, containing the selected file or folder, with all its contents, is placed beside the original XTM Translation folder in the Sitecore Content Editor screen.
