Basic configuration tasks
Once XTM Connect – Sitecore has been installed, you must configure it, in Sitecore, before it can be used by Translation requesters. First configure the basic XTM Connect– Sitecore parameters. Then configure the additional functions or features listed below, some of which are optional.
Log in to Sitecore.
In the main Sitecore screen, select the Content Editor icon. You see the Content Editor screen.
Select the arrow to the left of the XTM Translation folder, to open it.
Select the arrow to the left of the XTM Connect folder, to open it.
Select the Settings cog icon. The Sitecore settings for XTM Connect are listed on the right, under the Quick info section, which contains information about the currently selected settings. These settings are grouped in sections.
Configure the settings described in these sections:
The XtmConnectorBaseTemplate. It needs to be configured because the templates applied to translation content inherit properties from the XtmConnectorBaseTemplate.
Add new languages to the Sitecore system, if required.
Enable project cost estimate display, if required.
Enable import of large content files for translation, if necessary (because large files might require additional configuration to enable them to import correctly).
Enable XTM Visual mode for unpublished items, if required.
Create a custom action for a workflow state, if required.
Make additional routing and security settings, if necessary.
