Viewing excluded content fields
An Administrator can specify that certain texts, stored in fields in the product database, are not to be translated, for a specific set of products (for example). To do so, the Administrator excludes these texts in translation project templates.
When a project has been generated using a specific product template, you can see which content fields have been excluded in it, if required. You cannot change which texts have been excluded in a project.
Select the Excluded Fields button in the main XTM Connect – Sitecore screen. The Excluded Fields popup is displayed.
You see the excluded content fields, with these details for each of them:
Template Path: the path on which the translation project template is stored.
Field Name: the name of the field that has been excluded.
In Template Section: the template section that contains the field that has been excluded.
Note
In the Excluded Fields popup, the Remove Excluded Field is disabled because only an Administrator can change the settings for texts, to include them in translation in a project based on a particular template.
