XTM Connect – Bridge for Projects: sending files for translation

The XTM Connect – Bridge for Projects variant integrates the CMS to which it is connected with XTM Cloud. CMS source content files are sent to XTM Cloud for translation, and processed, as follows:

  1. The Translation requester manually uploads source content (one or more files) for translation from the CMS to the specified directory for translation content, on the dedicated server.

  2. XTM Connect – Bridge for Projects monitors the source content directory, on the configured source path on the dedicated server, detects the presence of the newly arrived content, transfers it to XTM Cloud and automatically creates a translation project in XTM Cloud.

  3. Once the content has been sent to XTM Cloud, XTM Connect – Bridge for Projects moves the original source content to another dedicated directory.

  4. The translation jobs in the project are assigned to the relevant Linguists, who translated the content into the appropriate languages.

  5. XTM Connect – Bridge for Projects monitors the progress of individual translation jobs, and of the entire translation project they are in.

  6. After the content has been translated, and the translation workflow is complete, XTM Cloud automatically saves the target files to another, target content, directory on the dedicated server. The target content directory is preconfigured.

  7. XTM Connect – Bridge for Projects then imports the translated content back into the CMS from that directory.
