Introduction to XTM Connect – Bridge
XTM Connect – Bridge is an auxiliary application for both XTM Cloud and XTM Suite. An XTM Connect – Bridge installation can be used in three ways (separately or in combination):
XTM Connect – Bridge for Projects: for automating the sending of new content to XTM Cloud, for translation, the creation of translation projects and the returning of translated files to their source CMS.
XTM Connect – Bridge for Terminology: for importing terminology files to XTM Cloud.
XTM Connect – Bridge for Translation Memory: for importing Translation Memories to XTM Cloud.
Note
In this documentation, these different ways of using XTM Connect – Bridge are referred to as variants for convenience.
Essentially, the difference between these variants is that specified directories on the dedicated server are used for the different purposes mentioned above.
The advantages of using XTM Connect – Bridge are that it reduces the number of manual tasks, and so:
decrease costs.
speed up turnaround times.
reduce human errors.
Use of any of the three XTM Connect – Bridge variants is provided under the terms of a software license that is separate from the standard XTM Cloud license or subscription agreement.
