Creating a custom action for a workflow state

You can add custom actions to any workflow state defined in the Sitecore workflow.

To add a custom action to a workflow state:
  1. Log in to Sitecore.

  2. In the main Sitecore screen, select the Content Editor icon. You see the Content Editor screen.

  3. Select the arrow to the left of the System folder at the bottom of the list.

  4. Select the arrow to the left of the Workflows folder.

  5. If the "In Translation" workflow that you want to view is not contained in the Workflows folder, select the arrow to the left of the relevant folder. Example: "XTM Translation".

  6. Select the workflow that you want to modify.

  7. Right-click on the workflow. In the context menu, select Insert > Insert from template. The Insert from Template popup is displayed.

  8. In the template, select the arrow to the left of the System folder.

  9. Select the arrow to the left of the Workflow folder.

  10. In the Workflow folder, select the Action item.

  11. In the Item Name field, enter the name of your custom action.

  12. Select the Insert button. The popup closes and the new action is displayed, with its details, in the main screen.

  13. In the Data section, enter Xtm.Connector.Sitecore.Workflow.Actions,Xtm.Connector.Sitecore in the Type string field.

  14. Select the Save icon at the top of the screen, on the left, to save your custom action. The action will now be available for use in XTM Connect – Sitecore.
