Shortcut settings in XTM Workbench

The shortcuts are browser-specific, so any changes to the shortcuts will only be available in the browser in which they were set. Other browsers will keep the previous shortcut.

Caution

The default Mac shortcuts only apply when XTM is viewed in Safari. There might be changes to the shortcuts if other supported browsers are used.

Setting a shortcut in XTM Workbench
  1. Go to Settings > Shortcuts.

  2. Select Set shortcut next to the required option.

  3. In the popup type the keystroke combination for a new shortcut.

    1. Select OK.

  4. Select Save.

Changing a shortcut in XTM Workbench
  1. Go to Settings > Shortcuts.

  2. Select the shortcut combination next to the required option.

  3. In the popup type the new keystroke combination for the shortcut.

    Caution

    You cannot use the same combination for more than one command.

  4. Select OK.

  5. Select Save.

Custom shortcuts

To enhance productivity and ease of use, XTM Workbench offers the possibility to create personalized shortcuts for special characters.

Setting a custom shortcut for special characters in XTM Workbench
  1. Go to Settings > Shortcuts > Custom shortcuts for special characters.

  2. Select Add new. Enter a special character of your choice. You can do this either by typing it manually or by choosing it from the list available under the keyboard icon.

  3. Select Set shortcut.

  4. In the popup type the new keystroke combination for a new shortcut.

    1. Select OK to close the popup.

  5. Select Save.
