Preparations for capturing HTML previews for WPF applications
Create a Rigi project on the Rigi server, assign files to the workspace, select the parsers, align, etc. For details, see the Create a project guide.
Configure the following project settings:
Settings > Project > General > Application pattern = WPF.
Settings > Context > String recognition > Rigi token format = Default.
Click Workspace > Approve translations.
Click Workspace > Download Files > Files with Rigi tokens.
The Rigi locale must be installed so that the Rigi localization bridge can recognize the localizable strings in the user interface.
Configure the staging WPF app that will be used to capture HTML previews to select the Rigi language.
Ensure that a valid license is installed for Rigi Websnap. For details, see the Install the Rigi Websnap tool guide.
Open Rigi Websnap.
Select File > New.
Select the WPF Platform.
Give the project a name and select an empty folder.
Click Next. This will open the project settings.
In the WPF Application display, perform the following steps:
Enter the path to the WPF exe (that includes the Rigi language).
If applicable, enter the arguments that must be passed when the WPF exe is started.
Set a timeout. When the application is started from Rigi Websnap, the Websnap tool waits for the application UI to become visible. Once the UI is visible, it injects the localization bridge and connects to the system. If this process takes longer than the specified timeout period, a timeout error will occur.
In the Server display:
enter the location of the project on the Rigi server.
select the Automatically upload previews option to immediately upload each captured HTML preview to the project on the Rigi server.
In the Advanced display, you can specify the subfolder to which the HTML previews are to be written (the default is screenshots):
