Passolo hybrid – detailed instructions for PMs

This article describes how to manage the translation of files that developers have uploaded to the Rigi workspace on the Rigi server.

This is the most common use case to work with .rigsln files.  Developers upload source files to the Rigi server, assign parsers, target rules, and file IDs, and finally approve the workspace for translation.

Pre-requisite

The developer has prepared the workspace on the Rigi server. For details, see the Set up a workspace guide.

The approved workspace on the Rigi server contains the source files, with parsers, target rules, and file IDs.

Perform the following steps for the first-time setup.

  1. Click Workspace > Download files. Download all source files, target files, and Rigi solution files:

  6. Set Sync with Rigi server to y.

The project is now ready to be used.

    Disable sync

It is possible to disable synchronization by setting Sync with Rigi server to n.

The developers made changes to the workspace on the Rigi server. The following procedure will download the latest files from the Rigi server, parse them, and update the string list in Passolo.

  1. Click Home > Create/update string lists.
