Manage the translation of the source texts
This guide describes how to translate new and modified source texts.
Pre-requisites
The developers have approved the workspace for translation, and the project manager has received a notification about the approval of the new files (for details, see the Assign source files to the workspace guide).
(Recommended) The developers have captured HTML previews for the new strings. For details, see the Manage HTML previews guides.
Update string lists:
In the project menu, select Texts > Overview.
Click the Update button or the
icon in the Texts section of the project menu. The Update source strings popup will be displayed.
If you encounter a validation error, see the How to resolve a validation error when updating a string list? guide.
Verify if those changes match your expectations.

Add target languages:
Click the Add target languages button.
Select the required languages.
Click the Add button.
When you upload a XLIFF file with translations (for details, see the Import translation files), Rigi will automatically add a new target language if this language has not been added to the project yet.
If you have some translations already uploaded, select the target languages and click the
icon to align source and target strings. This action will read the translations from the target files in the workspace. It finds the target files by using the target rules that were defined in the workspace.
If the alignment did not result in translations, developers should verify the target rules in the workspace.
In the updated projects, the string lists are updated, and the new strings are identified.
