This combination might work, but we will not provide any guarantee!
We highly recommend upgrading to memoQ 9.0 or higher.
Alternatively, use the built-in Rigi online editor. Please check the details with your PM.

Try at your own risk to localize in context in memoQ (for details, see the Translate in memoQ guide).
memoQ up to version 9.12 only supports visualization for monolingual Rigi XML files, which do not contain target texts and statuses. All pre-translations must be done in memoQ. Rigi XLIFF (memoQ 9.13 and higher) is recommended.
Open memoQ > Options > Resources > Resource Console.
Select Filter configurations > Import new.
Select the Rigi XML filter configuration. You can find it in the folder in which you have installed the viewer (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Rigi\RigiMemoQ).
The following popup will be displayed:
Click the OK button. The filter is now displayed in the list:
memoQ 8.x - 9.5. embed a Rigi viewer component (a.k.a. Rigi Preview Adapter).
That adapter is enabled by default and will automatically launch the Rigi.Viewer for Rigi files.
The legacy adapter conflicts with the modern Rigi Viewer app for memoQ (memoQ.Rigi) and must be disabled.
No maintenance and support
The built-in Rigi Preview adapter (versions 8.x - 9.5) is deprecated.
Rigi and memoQ do not provide support for this legacy product.
Auto-detection of the legacy plugin
Recent Rigi plugins will detect that the legacy adapter is enabled. In that case, the following window with instructions is displayed:

Open memoQ > Options > options > External preview tools.
Click the Remove button. The legacy viewer is now removed.
Retry the installation steps.
