Delete duplicated HTML previews
HTML previews in Rigi are composed of translatable texts identified by unique string IDs. As developers recapture HTML previews, newer versions might arise with updated content but the same set of string IDs.
To maintain clarity and efficiency, we recommend using the Delete duplicates functionality. It removes older HTML previews that mirror newer versions, ensuring a streamlined and up-to-date preview experience.
If duplicate HTML previews have tags assigned, you can specify whether all duplicates are to be deleted, or only those without tags.
Assign tags to important HTML previews to prevent their accidental deletion.
Older HTML previews that are currently used in review packs or as screenshots for documentation will not be automatically deleted. This limitation protects the integrity of your projects and ensures that critical elements are retained for essential functions.
In the project menu, select Context > Previews.
Click the Delete duplicates button in the top right-hand corner of the display.
In the Delete duplicate previews popup:
configure whether to delete all the duplicates or only those without tags assigned with the Preserve duplicate HTML previews with tags toggle.
enter the number of duplicate previews.
click the Delete button.
The number of duplicate previews is provided directly in the Delete duplicated previews popup.
