Shortcut settings in XTM Workbench
The shortcuts are browser-specific, so any changes to the shortcuts are only available in the browser in which they have been set. Other browsers will keep the previous shortcut settings.
Important
The default Mac shortcuts only apply when XTM Cloud is viewed in Safari. There may be changes to the shortcuts if other supported browsers are used.
Note
The default shortcut for opening the XTM Workbench Find and replace popup is Ctrl + F
. So, the browser search option is by default blocked in XTM Workbench window or tab.
If you want to use Ctrl + F
keystroke for opening the browser search option, ensure NOT to set this keystroke for any of the XTM Workbench shortcut.
In XTM Workbench, in the top navigation bar, select Settings > Shortcuts.
Result: The Setting popup is displayed.
In the popup Settings > Shortcuts tab screen, find the relevant option for which you want to set a shortcut. To do so, you can type the entire or part of the option name in the search box at the top bar, or expand available option categories.
Select Set shortcut next to the required option.
Result: The Set shortcut popup is displayed.
In the Set shortcut popup:
Type the keystroke combination for a new shortcut.
Select OK.
Important
You cannot use the same keystroke combination for more than one command.
At the bottom of the Settings > Shortcuts popup, select Save.
In XTM Workbench, in the top navigation bar, select Settings > Shortcuts.

Tracking changes shortcuts

Tracked changes is a Beta feature.
The Tracking changes shortcut settings are only displayed if the tracked changes feature has been enabled for your XTM Cloud instance.
You can set keyboard shortcuts to help you navigate between the tracked changes and to accept or reject these changes. To do so, follow the procedure below. You only set shortcuts for your own use, other users can set their own shortcuts.
In XTM Workbench, in the top navigation bar, select Settings > Shortcuts.
Result: The Setting popup is displayed.
In the Settings > Shortcuts popup:
find the Tracking changes section. Next, select the chevron down icon
to the right of the section name to expand the section and display all options in it. These options are described in the table below.

Accept tracked change, move to next
Use it to accept the tracked change that is currently selected with the cursor and move to the next tracked change. If the active segment does not contain any other tracked changes, the next segment that contains tracked changes is selected automatically. If there are no more tracked changes in the file, the cursor remains in the current segment.

Reject tracked change, move to next
Use it to reject the tracked change that is currently selected with the cursor and move to the next tracked change. If the active segment does not contain any other tracked changes, the next segment that contains tracked changes is selected automatically. If there are no more tracked changes in the file, the cursor remains in the current segment.

Move to next tracked change
Use it to move to the next tracked change within the active segment or, if the active segment does not contain any other tracked changes, to the next segment that contains them. If there are no more tracked changes to accept in the file, the cursor remains in the current segment.

Use it to move to the previous tracked change within the active segment or, if the active segment does not contain any other tracked changes, to the previous segment that contains them. If there are no more changes to accept in the file, the cursor remains in the current segment.

Custom shortcuts
To enhance productivity and ease of use, you can set your own personalized shortcuts for special characters in XTM Workbench.
In XTM Workbench, in the top navigation bar, select Settings > Shortcuts.
Result: The Setting popup is displayed.
In the Settings > Shortcuts tab screen, expand the Custom shortcuts for special characters category.
In the Custom shortcuts for special characters category, select Add new.
In the text field, enter a special character for which you want to create your custom shortcut. You can do this either by typing it manually or by choosing it from the list available under the keyboard icon.
Select Set shortcut to the right of the text field.
Result: The Set shortcut popup is displayed.
In the Set shortcut popup:
Type the new keystroke combination for the shortcut.
Select OK.
Important
You cannot use the same keystroke combination for more than one command.
At the bottom of the Settings > Shortcuts popup, select Save.
