Searching for users

You can use the procedure below to restrict the display to one or more specific users in the Users > User list tab screen.

  1. Select the Users > User list tab.

  2. Use one or both search methods:

    • Enter the search phrase in the search field and select the Search button. XTM Cloud will search by username, first name, last name, and email address.

    • Use Quick filters to display the relevant users. You can filter users by one or more categories. If you select more categories, only users who meet all criteria are displayed. The filters are:

      • Roles. To use this filter category, expand the dropdown. Now, select the relevant option:

        • one or more specific user roles from the ones that are displayed in the dropdown list. For more information about user roles in XTM Cloud, see User roles in XTM Cloud. User roles that you select are displayed above the table. To deselect a particular role, select the close icon close_X-mark_from-UX-team.svg next to it. To deselect all roles, you can select the sparkles_brand_refreshed.svg Clear button in the Roles dropdown.

        • sparkles_brand_refreshed.svg Clear – this button is only active if you have previously selected one or more user roles. Use it to clear your selection. As a result, all users are displayed in the User list, no matter what role has been assigned to them.

      • Activity. To use this filter category, select the relevant option:

        • All (default) – both active and inactive users are selected.

        • Active – users who are active and can be assigned to new projects are selected.

        • Inactive – users who have been deactivated and cannot be assigned to new projects until they are activated again are selected. Inactive users are grayed out in the User list.

      • Availability. To use this filter category, select the relevant option:

        • All (default) – both active and inactive users are selected.

        • Available – users who are currently available for new projects are selected.

        • Unavailable – users who are temporarily NOT available for new projects, for example, because they are currently on vacation, are selected. Unavailable users are only grayed out in the Users list if they are also inactive or blocked.

Result: XTM Cloud displays all users that meet all your search criteria. You can now manage the relevant users. For details, see Managing users.
