Project Editor – General info: General info

The following information is displayed in the Project Editor > circle-info-solid-black.svg General info tab screen, in the General info section:

Enable Tracking Changes

Note

This is a Beta feature.

This setting is only displayed if the tracked changes feature has been enabled for your XTM Cloud instance.

Use this setting to specify if, in this project, users can track changes to the segment in XTM Workbench. For details, see Tracked changes feature.

Reference ID

Enter an (alphanumeric) text to provide further information about the project.

Proposal approval status

This setting is displayed if your XTM Cloud Administrator has enabled the Project requires proposal approval setting (for details, see Workflow options parameters).

Use this setting to enable the requesting of proposal approval for all projects or for projects exceeding the specified word count.

You can change this setting by selecting one of the available values.

Valid values:

  • Not required – this option is selected automatically when the project does not require a proposal approval. If you select this option from the dropdown, proposal approval will no longer be required for your project and the Confirm project button will no longer be displayed in Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab screen.

  • Not confirmed – this option is selected automatically when the project requires proposal approval and the Confirm project button has not yet been selected in Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab screen.

  • Confirmed – this option is selected when the Confirm project button has been selected in Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab screen. It can also be selected from the Proposal approval status dropdown.

Cost approval status

Displayed if cost approval has been enabled by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Cost settings) and the value of the project exceeds the threshold specified by your XTM Cloud Administrator.

  • Approved – the assigned Cost Approver has approved costs for your project.

  • Costs generated – Costs have been generated but not requested by the Cost Manager.

  • No costs available – the costs for your project have not been generated yet.

  • Outdated – the workflow has been modified, so new project costs need to be generated.

  • Pending – the costs have been generated and need to be approved by the Cost Approver.

  • Rejected – the Cost Approver has rejected the costs for the project.

XTM Portal cost status

Displayed if your XTM Cloud account is integrated with your XTM Portal account.

Specifies which value will be displayed in the Cost status column in the XTM Portal XTM Projects tab screen.

To adjust the target languages that have been selected for the project, select the Update button. Then, in the Update target languages popup:

  • To add new languages to the project, select the required languages in the list on the left-hand side. To do so, you can select the chevron pointing right icon circle_chevron_right_sharp_solid_brand_refreshed.svg, or double-click on the languages you want to add.

  • To remove selected languages from the project, select them in the list on the right-hand side. To do so, you can select the chevron pointing left icon circle_chevron_right_sharp_solid_brand_refreshed.svg or double-click on the languages you want to remove.

Created by

The name of the user who created the project.

Customer

The name of the customer is specified during project creation and cannot be modified in the Project Editor.

This customer sets the translation memory to be applied in the project and the available language combinations that can be selected in the project.

Cost approver

This setting is displayed if your XTM Cloud Administrator has enabled the Projects require cost approval setting in Configuration > Data tab > Estimates > Cost settings (see Cost settings).

Valid values depend on the Cost Approver list configured for the relevant customer and on the selection made by the project creator.

If you do not select a particular user, all Cost Approvers assigned to the relevant customer will be notified about the project costs (if such information has not been sent out yet) and can accept them.

Note

When you change the Cost Approver for the relevant project, the ability to approve the project costs is automatically transferred to them. However, the automatic email notification about the project cost is only sent after you generate the relevant cost. The new Cost Approver will not receive an email notification until you generate the project cost again.

The project costs and their approval or rejection history are displayed in the Costs tab screen in the Project Editor.

Additional services

You can select various additional service options in Customers > Estimate options > Additional services.

If you have entered additional factors for them in the Customers > Customer list > [Selected customer] > Estimate factors > Document authentication section, these factors will then affect the Project estimate values, displayed in the Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab screen.

The due date for the last step in the workflow.

In the Project Editor > Workflow tab screen, you can select a different workflow due date for each language combination and each source file. If you do so, the Workflow due date settings will display the latest value from all workflow due dates on the project.

If you select an earlier Workflow due date date than the date(s) in the Project Editor > Workflow tab screen, this new Workflow due date will automatically be applied as workflow due date(s) in the Workflow tab screen.
