XTM Cloud 25.3

Enabling Tracking changes mode in XTM Workbench

Note

This is a Beta feature.

If your XTM Cloud Product Manager has enabled the tracked changes feature for your project (for details, see Project Editor – General info: General info), you can work in Tracking changes mode in XTM Workbench. By default, XTM Workbench opens a new project in Editing mode. To work in Tracking changes mode, you need to enable it.

Procedure. To enable Tracking changes mode:
  1. As a Project Manager, open the relevant project, in the relevant target language, in edit mode, in XTM Workbench.

As a Linguist, open the relevant task, in XTM Workbench.

  2. In XTM Workbench, in the top navigation bar, in the right-hand corner of the screen, select Editing mode. As a result, a dropdown is displayed.

  3. From the dropdown, select Track changes.

Result: in the top navigation bar, in the right-hand corner of the screen, you see the Tracking changes label. Now, all changes that you make to target segments will be recorded and displayed accordingly. For details, see Working in Tracking changes mode.

Until you switch back to Editing mode, XTM Workbench will open for you in Tracking changes mode for all files and all steps, in the relevant project.

If you want to switch back to Editing mode, see Enabling Editing mode.
