Workflow steps parameters
To access the Workflow steps parameters, select Configuration > Settings > Workflow > Workflow steps.
The Workflow steps parameters are displayed in a table with the following details:
Step name.
Description.
Step type.
Created by.
Workflow use – This column displays the number of workflow definitions in which the relevant step has been used.
Active – This column displays one of the two icons:
– This icon indicates that the relevant workflow step is currently active and can be used in Workflow definitions and in Workflow Editor.
– This icon indicates that the relevant workflow step is currently inactive. An inactive workflow step cannot be used in Workflow definition. Existing workflow definitions containing it will also get deactivated. An inactive workflow step cannot be added to a workflow in Workflow Editor. The deactivation of a workflow step, however, will not affect workflow of any existing project that contains it.
the information icon – When you hover over it, the ID of the relevant step will be displayed.
To create a new workflow step, select the Add button. Then, in the Create workflow step popup, select the relevant values for the workflow step parameters.
To edit an existing workflow step, select it from the table. Then, in the Edit workflow step popup, select the relevant values for the workflow step parameters.

Valid Additional steps values are: Management tasks – Files can be downloaded but cannot be updated. Example 14. Example It can be an approval step before the translation process starts. Other ones include: entering cost details, approving costs and proposals, printing files, sending files to client, etc.
Non CAT tool process – Files can be downloaded and updated in XTM Cloud but the TM and project segments will not be modified. Example 15. Example DTP step after translation where some layout changes are required. Changes to the target text made in this type of step are not saved in the TM or terminology database.
Automatic – Enables you to further specify either of the valid values: Approve the TM of selected segments Set the XTM status of segments to green/done for all segments Set the minimum XLIFF:doc status of segments NoteThis option is available only if TIPP is activated in Configuration > Settings.
