Reports
To access project reports, select Projects > Project list > Actions. To learn how to run a report, select the relevant topic from the list below.
To download the most recently generated report again, select the download icon . The icon is displayed only if the selected report type has been generated before and is still available for another download.
In XTM Cloud, you can run these project reports:
Use this report to track and analyze the history of initial metrics which are stored during project creation, project reanalysis, adding new target languages, and updating continuous projects. You can run this report for the Whole duration of project, or for Custom date range in which case you must specify the From – To dates. If you run this report for multiple projects, each project is displayed in a separate Excel file. In the relevant Excel file, each project metric is displayed on a separate sheet, named by date and time when the relevant metric has been created.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful if you want to have an overview of how the project scope has changed across multiple continuous project iterations. The benefit of using this report is that you can download the aggregated metrics information for multiple projects at once, without having to download multiple metric files from each project.
Use this report to see the summary of the most recent current metrics from the selected project(s). The data from all selected projects is aggregated and displayed in one Excel file, in one table.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful whenever you need an aggregated view of the most up-to-date scope from multiple projects at once.
Additional tip: You can further extend this report to show any scope and TM leverage trends across projects. To do so, in the MS Excel export file, manually insert the relevant charts.
Use this report to track all due dates in the selected project(s). In this report, you see which projects and workflow steps are overdue, have been completed on time or have upcoming due dates. In this report, all projects are displayed in one Excel file with these spreadsheets: Overdue, On time, All – standard, and All – aggregated.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful to track your vendor punctuality and spot trends over time.
Use this report to see a summary of statistics from the selected project(s). In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one target language, in one project.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful to track the productivity per project and language, because it is based on the work actually done in each project.
Additional tip: To dive deeper into your vendor productivity metrics, use the Assignment and words report from the Costs and metrics section.
These reports are based on costs and/or initial or current metrics from the selected project(s). In XTM Cloud, you can run these Costs and metrics reports:
Use this report to see the summarized data for each project language pair: total word count, assignees in the relevant workflow steps, the total amount of time that the assignees have spent on completing each workflow step, and the time that they needed to complete the entire project. In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one target language, in one project.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful to deep-dive into your vendor productivity metrics, because it enables you to compare the project scope against the expected due date and actual time spent on a task.
Costs and words per customer or custom field.
Use this report to see the summary of costs, words and hours in the selected project(s). You can group the data by customer and/or one of the project custom fields. In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. The display of the data in the table depends on the selected grouping method. If you have selected no grouping, or grouping by customer, each table row displays the data for one project. If you have selected the grouping by custom field, or by customer and custom field, each table row displays a different value of the relevant custom field.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful whenever you want to have an overview of the project scope and costs across multiple customers. The real benefit of this report is represented by the grouping options, which enable you to flexibly divide the data in different sections, either based on customer or custom fields.
Costs and metrics per Linguist.
Use this report to see the detailed information about costs per Linguist assigned to each workflow step in the selected project(s) and the metrics on which these costs have been based. In this report, XTM Cloud displays information about costs and the word analysis coming from the Costs tab in Project Editor. In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one target language, in one project.

This report is particularly useful whenever you need an overview of your vendor costs and scope covered across multiple projects.
Initial metrics, assignment and costs.
Use this report to see a summary of costs, assignments and initial metrics per language and project. In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one target language, in one project.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful whenever you need to focus your cost and metrics analysis on the initial project metrics (coming from the first project analysis) instead of the most up to date metrics. You can use this report also to potentially compare the initial scope (initial metrics) with the current scope (current metrics reports).
Metrics, custom fields included.
Use this report to see the current project metrics which are updated after the relevant translation memory has been imported or updated, and project custom fields. In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one target language, in one project.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful whenever you want to analyze the current project scope by language. Custom fields can further help you categorize the relevant projects to spot interesting trends.
Project cost, metrics per step.
Use this report to see cost and metric details per workflow step in the selected project(s). In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one workflow step, in one target language, in one project.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful whenever you want to analyze cost and scope trends based on the type of task performed by your vendor (workflow steps). For example, you could analyze DTP costs over time or understand how your post-editing costs have changed across projects.
Project cost, metrics and assignment per step.
Use this report to see cost, metric, and assignment details per workflow step in the selected project(s). In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one workflow step, in one target language, in one project. Information about all workflow step assignees is aggregated and displayed in one table column.
Business use case
This report is particularly recommended if you use machine translation and are measuring edit distance. This report gives you insights into project cost, scope and edit distance calculation, along with the vendor cost discounts based on edit distance.
Words, time per linguist, language and task.
This report is connected with the Statistics processing functionality and only displays information about your internal Linguists, not LSPs assigned to your projects. Use it to see information about the number of segments and words received vs. words translated / processed, and about the time spent on the task and on the job in the selected project(s). You can run this report based on target or source statistics. In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one project file in one workflow step, in target language, in one project.
Business use case
This report is particularly useful if you want to analyze the effort actually invested by your internal linguists (excluding subcontractors) on different projects.
Use this report to see the evaluation of Linguist work on the selected project(s). In this report, all projects are displayed in one table. In it, each table row displays the data for one evaluee working in one workflow step, on one target file, in one target language, in one project.
Business use case
This report enables you to have an overview of your vendor quality based on LQA results across multiple projects.
