Quality Assurance

In XTM, the scope of QA checks depends on the connected spell checker and its availability for the particular language. 

Caution

Activating QA puts on hold any action in XTM Workbench!

. Performing Quality Assurance in XTM Workbench
  1. Set a segment to Completed: the QA checks occur automatically.

  2. Run QA check during translation in XTM Workbench.

Procedure. Running QA check on active segment

Default shortcut key: F7

  1. In XTM Workbench, open the QA menu check-double-solid__1_.svg from the top-right bar.

  2. Select Run QA check on active segment.

QA warnings for the active segment are shown in the QA docked panel.

Procedure. Removing QA markings in active segment

Default shortcut key: F8

  1. In XTM Workbench, open the QA menu check-double-solid__1_.svg from the top-right bar.

  2. Select Remove QA markings in active segment.

Removes any markings of errors found in an active segment.

Procedure. Running QA check on displayed segments

Default shortcut key: F9

  1. In XTM Workbench, open the QA menu check-double-solid__1_.svg from the top-right bar.

  2. Select Run QA check on displayed segments.

QA warnings for the displayed segments are shown in the QA docked panel.

The option restarts automatically when more segments are loaded.

Procedure. Running QA check on document and filter results

Default shortcut key:

  1. In XTM Workbench, open the QA menu check-double-solid__1_.svg from the top-right bar.

  2. Select Run QA check on document and filter results.

Runs global check on the document and filters segments with recognized errors.

Upon selecting this option, a dialog window is displayed where you can decide whether you wish to include ICE matches and 100% leveraged matches in the check. If you do not tick either of the boxes, by default ICE matches and 100% leveraged matches will not be checked.
