Project Editor – General info: General info

The following information is displayed in the Project Editor > General info tab screen, in the General info section:

Description	Enter a description or other general information for the project. Your XTM Cloud Administrator can specify who can access this information (see Linguist metadata access). If enabled, Linguists will see this information in their Tasks list, in the tooltip on the right-hand side of the relevant project. LSPs will see this information in the Project Editor. Reference ID	Enter an (alphanumeric) text to provide further information about the project. Your XTM Cloud Administrator can specify who can access this information (see Linguist metadata access). If enabled, Linguists will see this information in their Tasks list, in the tooltip on the right-hand side of the relevant project. LSPs will see this information in the Project Editor. Payment status	The status of payment for the translation project.	Optional	Yes	Dropdown	Valid values: Not required. Paid. Waiting for payment.
Proposal approval status	The Project requires proposal approval parameter must be enabled by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Workflow options parameters). This parameter enables requesting for proposal approval for all projects or projects exceeding the specified word count. You can change the status by selecting one of the available values.	Optional	Yes	Dropdown	Valid values: Not required – This option is automatically selected, when the project does not require a proposal approval. If you select this option from the dropdown, the proposal approval will no longer be required for your project and the Confirm project button will no longer be displayed in Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab. Not confirmed – This option is automatically selected, when the project requires proposal approval and the Confirm project button has not yet been selected in Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab. Confirmed – This option is automatically selected, when the Confirm project button has been selected in Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab. It can also be selected from the Proposal approval status dropdown.
Cost approval status	Displayed if cost approval has been enabled by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Cost settings) and the value of the project exceeds the threshold defined by your XTM Cloud Administrator.	Optional	Yes	Dropdown	Valid values: Approved – Cost Approver approved costs for your project. Costs generated – Costs have been generated, but not requested by the Cost Manager. No costs available – Costs for your project have not been generated yet. Not required – The cost approval requirement has been disabled during project creation. Outdated – Workflow has been modified, so new project costs need to be generated. Pending – Costs have been generated and need to be approved by the Cost Approver. Rejected – Cost Approver has rejected costs for project.
XTM Portal cost status	Displayed if your XTM Cloud account is integrated with XTM Portal account. Determines which value will be displayed in the Cost status column on XTM Portal's XTM Projects tab. Subject matter	The subject matter of the project is selected during the project creation and cannot be edited in the Project Editor.	Mandatory	No	Read-only	Value defined during project creation.

Pre-processing target	Displayed if the pre-processing step has been added during the project creation. Pre-processing segmentation	Displayed if the pre-processing step has been added during the project creation. Target languages	The list of target languages is selected during the project creation, but can also be edited in the Project Editor. To edit the list of the target languages on the project, select the Update button. Then, in the Update target languages popup: To add new languages, select the required languages from the left-hand side list. You can use the chevron pointing left icon or double-click these languages.
Created by	The name of the project creator.	Mandatory	No	Read-only	The name of the user who created the project.
Customer	The name of the customer is selected during the project creation and cannot be edited in the Project Editor. This customer sets the translation memory to be applied in the project and the available language combinations that can be selected in the project. Project template	The project template is selected during the project creation and cannot be edited in the Project Editor.	Optional	No	Read-only	Value defined during project creation.
Filter template	You can select one of the filters created by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Filter configuration). Applying a filter template to an existing project	Optional	Yes	Dropdown	Predefined filter templates created by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Filter configuration).
Project Manager	By default, project creator is the Project Manager.	Mandatory	Yes	Dropdown	By default, project creator is the Project Manager. To change Project Manager, select the relevant user from the dropdown.
Cost approver	This parameter is displayed if your XTM Cloud Administrator has enabled the Projects require cost approval parameter in Configuration > Data tab > Estimates > Cost settings (see Cost settings).	Optional	Yes	Dropdown	Valid values depend on the Cost Approver list configured for the relevant customer and on selection made by the project creator. If you do not select a particular user, all Cost Approvers assigned to the relevant customer will be notified about the project costs (if such information has not been sent out yet) and can accept them. Note When you change the Cost Approver for the relevant project, the ability to approve project costs is automatically transferred to them. However, the automatic email notification about the project cost is only sent after you generate the relevant cost. The new Cost Approver will not receive an email notification until you generate project cost again. The project costs and their approval or rejection history is displayed in the Costs tab screen in Project Editor.
Additional services	You can select various additional services options in Customers > Estimate options > Additional services. If you have entered additional factors for them in Customers > Customer list > [Selected customer] > Estimate factors > Document authentication section, they will then affect the Project estimate values, displayed in the Project Editor in the Estimates > Proposal tab. Date created	The date and time when the project has been created. This value is auto-completed by XTM Cloud during project creation. Workflow start date	The value of the Workflow start date parameter will only be used for automatic due date calculations. It will not start the workflow automatically. Pre-processing due date	Displayed if the pre-processing step has been added during the project creation. It is the due date for the last step of the pre-processing workflow. Workflow due date	The due date for the last step of the workflow. In Project Editor > Workflow tab, you can select different workflow due dates for each language combination and each source file. In this case, the Workflow due date parameters will display the latest value from all workflow due dates on the project. If you select, in Workflow due date, an earlier date than the one(s) in Project Editor > Workflow tab, the new date will be auto-populated to workflow due date(s) in the Workflow tab. Delivery due date	The due date when the workflows for all files in all languages must be completed. Auto-calculate due dates for workflow steps	Displayed if this option has been enabled by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Settings — Projects: Due dates). The automatic due dates calculation is based on business days, not calendar days.	Optional	Yes	Checkbox	Valid values: Cleared Selected When selected, you must enter the Delivery due date and the Pre-processing due date if the pre-processing step has been added during the project creation. XTM Cloud will recalculate the workflow step due dates based on them.
Delivery	If your XTM Cloud account is integrated with XTM Portal account, your XTM Cloud Administrator can define Delivery service options (see Data — Delivery services).	Optional	No	Read-only	Values predefined by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Data — Delivery services).
Use not approved memory	When selected, this parameter enables linguists to see and use not approved Translation Memory.	Optional	Yes	Checkbox	Valid values: Cleared Selected
Hide repeated segments	Displayed if hiding repeated segments has been enabled by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Repeats). When selected, the repeated segments across all project files will be hidden and automatically populated with the content previously entered by the linguist.	Optional	Yes	Checkbox	Valid values: Cleared Selected When selected, you must set the value for the Activate when repeats exceed X % of a file parameter.

TM language variant penalty profile	This parameter enables you to select one of the penalty profiles created by the XTM Cloud Administrator. Adding penalty profile in the Project Editor	Optional	Yes	Dropdown	Values predefined by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Data — Tags — TM penalty profiles).
Highlight segments populated with a language variant match	Displayed if hiding repeated segments has been enabled by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Matches – general). When selected, in XTM Workbench, target segments populated with TM entries for a different language variant will be marked with the icon. Mark segments as locked	Displayed if your XTM Cloud Administrator has enabled the Mark segments as locked when parameter (see Matches – general). If your XTM Cloud Administrator has selected the Enable TIPP checkbox (see General system settings), additional options will be available for this parameter. This option is available if the TIPP setting has been selected (for details, see General system settings). XLIFF:doc status = Validated – Only segments with the Validated segment status are locked. This option is available if the TIPP setting has been selected (for details, see General system settings).
Use the selected customer’s	This parameter enables linguists to additionally use as reference the selected resources of the selected additional customer(s).	Optional	Yes	Radio buttons	Valid values: Terminology. TM. TM and Terminology.
Select customers	In this parameter you specify resources of which customer(s) should be used as reference.	Optional	Yes	Multiple selection	Predefined list of customers available on your XTM Cloud instance. To select additional customer(s), select the required customer name(s) from the left-hand side list. You can use chevron pointing right icon , or double-click their name(s). To deselect customer(s), select the required customer name(s) from the right-hand side list. You can use the chevron pointing left icon or double-click their name(s). Note You will not be able to deselect the customer for whom your project has been created.
Monitor target length	When selected, this parameter enables you to control the length of the translated segments. Target cannot be shorter than	Enables you to enter a numeric value in one of the text fields to specify the minimal target length. Disable term decoration	This parameter must be enabled by the XTM Cloud Administrator (see Terminology options). When you select this parameter, the Terminology entries will not be highlighted in a blue bold font in XTM Workbench. TM penalty profile	This parameter enables you to select, from the dropdown, one of the TM penalty profiles predefined by your XTM Cloud Administrator. Term penalty profile	This parameter enables you to select, from the dropdown, one of the Term penalty profiles predefined by your XTM Cloud Administrator. QA Profile	This parameter enables you to select, from the dropdown, one of the QA profiles predefined by your XTM Cloud Administrator. To learn more about defining QA profiles, see QA settings. To customize the selected QA profile for your project, select the pencil icon to open the Project QA profile popup in which you can apply your changes.
Segment filter profile	This parameter enables you to select, from the dropdown, one of the segment filter profiles predefined by your XTM Cloud Administrator. To learn more about defining segment filter profiles, see Segment filters tab. Enable linguist to turn the profile off	When selected, this parameter enables linguists to disable, in XTM Workbench, segment filter profiles selected by Project Managers. Set tags for	Enables you to set tags for TM and terminology either jointly or separately.	Mandatory	Yes	Radio buttons	Valid values: TM and terminology. When you select this option, the optional Set tags for TM & terms parameter will be displayed, where you can select the same tags for the TM and the terms. TM and terminology separately. When you select this option, two optional parameters will be displayed: Set tags for TM & terms and Set tags for TM & terms, where you can select the tags separately for the TM and for the terms.
Set tags for TM & terms	Displayed if you have selected the TM and terminology option for the Set tags for setting.	Optional	Yes	Dropdown and Multiple select	Predefined list of tags created by your XTM Cloud Administrator (see Tags).
