Metrics history report

Use this report to track and analyze the history of initial metrics which are stored during project creation, project reanalysis, adding new target languages, and updating continuous projects.

Business use case

This report is particularly useful if you want to have an overview of how the project scope has changed across multiple continuous project iterations. The benefit of using this report is that you can download the aggregated metrics information for multiple projects at once, without having to download multiple metric files from each project.

Running the Metrics history report.

If you run this report for multiple projects, each project is displayed in a separate Excel file.

In the relevant Excel file, each project metric is displayed on a separate sheet, named by date and time when the relevant metric has been created.

Note

MS Excel does not limit the number of worksheets per file, but you might not be able to open large files if you do not have enough memory on your computer.

In each sheet, at the top, you see a table with aggregated metrics for the whole project, including all target files and target languages. Below this project data table, you see:

  • separate tables for each target language and source file, if the relevant project files have NOT been automatically joined.

  • table(s) with aggregated data from multiple files (e.g. joinedFiles.docx) for each target language, if the relevant project files have been automatically joined.

At the bottom of each sheet, you see separate tables for each target language and all source files translated into this language.

Each table displays numeric values in Segments, Words, Word %, Characters, Character % and Characters excluding spaces columns, in each of the following categories:

  • Initial data:

    • Total count.

    • Non-translatable.

  • Translation memory matching data:

    • ICE match.

    • Leveraged match.

    • 95-99 Fuzzy match.

    • 85-94 Fuzzy match.

    • 75-84 Fuzzy match.

    • Machine translation.

  • Internal matching data:

    • Repeat.

    • 95-99 Fuzzy repeat.

    • 85-94 Fuzzy repeat.

    • 75-84 Fuzzy repeat.

    • No matching.

  • Progress information about each workflow step:

    • Done.

    • To be done.

    • To be corrected.
