Metrics calculation
To access the Metrics calculation parameters, select Configuration > Settings > Translation > Metrics > Metrics calculation.

Language | For character-based languages, when XTM Cloud calculates metrics, the number of words is estimated by dividing the number of characters by a factor. The result is then rounded up to the nearest integer to give the number of words in the segment and the number of words in each segment is summed to give the total word count in the document. By default, the values are (you can change these factors if required):
