Fuzzy repeats

To access the Fuzzy repeats parameters, select Configuration > Settings > Translation > TM > Fuzzy repeats.

To make changes to the Fuzzy repeats settings, select the relevant option for the required parameters and then, select the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

Search for fuzzy repeats even if specific matches found

By default, if there is an ICE or a 100% leveraged match, XTM Cloud does not search for a fuzzy repeat.

You can change this behavior by selecting one or both options:

  • ICE

  • Leveraged

Show

95-99% fuzzy repeats

For each category of fuzzy repeat, you can specify if it is displayed to the Linguist:

  • Yes – Fuzzy repeats are always displayed to Linguists.

  • No – Fuzzy repeats are never displayed to Linguists.

85-94% fuzzy repeats

75-84% fuzzy repeats

Populate target with

95-99% fuzzy repeats

For each category of fuzzy repeat, you can specify when XTM Cloud should automatically enter it into the target segment:

  • Always, fixing inline differences

  • Only if inlines are the same

  • Never

85-94% fuzzy repeats

75-84% fuzzy repeats

Number of repeats to display

You can set a maximum number of fuzzy repeats which are displayed in XTM Workbench, in the Matches docked panel for a single segment. The options are:

  • 1

  • 2

  • 3 (default)

  • 4

  • 5
