Template | Select a template for the project, if required. The templates in this dropdown are project templates. These contain complete or partial project configurations. A template can be customer-specific or global (can be used for any customer). Project templates are created by Project Managers: you can save the settings from a project, after creation, as a template for use in future. You or other Project Managers can then select this template, during project creation, and reuse the settings defined in the template. This saves time and effort. | Optional | Dropdown list | Valid values depend on the configuration made by a Project Manager. |
Cost approver | This parameter is displayed if your XTM Cloud Administrator has enabled the Projects require cost approval parameter in Configuration > Data tab > Estimates > Cost settings (see Cost settings). Select a Cost Approver for this project. They must approve the project costs before the project can be started. | Optional | Dropdown list | Valid values depend on the Cost Approver list configured for the relevant Customer. When you selected Template which has a predefined Cost Approver that has been configured for the relevant Customer, this user will automatically be selected as the Cost approver for your new project. If the Cost Approver from the Template has no access rights to the relevant customer, the Cost approver parameter will have the Choose value. If you do not select a particular user, all Cost Approvers assigned to the relevant customer will be notified about the project costs (if such information has not been sent out yet) and can accept them. You can change the Cost Approver for the relevant project in Project Editor. For details, see Project Editor – General info: General info. |
