XTM Cloud 13.8

Select Configuration > Settings > Translation > TM > Matches – general. Select the required language. You can enable any, or all of them if needed.

Select Configuration > Data > Tags > TM penalty profiles > Add.

In the Edit TM penalty profile:

1. Enter a penalty profile name and optionally a description.

2. Select the Active checkbox.

3. Select one of the Penalty options:

   1. Sum the penalties.

   2. Select highest penalty: only use when a segment is affected by more than one penalty.

4. Select Matches order:

   3. By Match type.

   4. By priority.

5. Select Default priority of non-penalized matches.

6. Add a single rule for the language variant penalty profile. You can add multiple conditions within one rule.

7. In the Actions section on the right:

   6. Select Variant matches only from > Select the required language variant from the dropdown.

8. Select Save.

Select Configuration > Settings > Translation > TM > Matches – general.

Select TM language variant penalty profile and the newly created penalty profile from the dropdown.

Select Save.
