Viewing the relevant project cost details in the New costs tab
After you have generated a project cost, you can view the relevant project cost details.
Important
New costs are a Beta feature.
Costs generated in the New costs tab screen are based on the details entered in the Users > Edit user > New rate cards tab screen (for details, see New rate cards) and in the Users > LSP Editor > New rate cards tab screen (for details, see New rate cards for LSPs).
Neither New costs nor New rate cards have any influence on the current project costs (managed in the Projects > Project Editor > Estimates > Costs tab screen).
Select Projects > Project list tab.
From the Project list, select the project for which you want to generate costs.
You can use the features in the Simple search and Advanced search tab screens to find the relevant project.
In the relevant project row, select the context menu icon
in the left-hand side column.
From the context menu, select
Show Estimates . Then, select the New costs tab at the top of the screen.
Note
Show Costs will replace the
Show Estimates option if your XTM Cloud Administrator has selected the Disable proposals in project estimates setting (for details, see Cost settings).
Result: a list of all project costs generated so far for the relevant project is displayed in the New costs tab screen.
In the project costs list, find the relevant cost.
In the relevant cost row, select the context menu icon
on the right-hand side of the screen. Then, from the context menu, select View.
Alternatively, use the left mouse key to select the relevant cost row.
Result: the Project cost details popup is displayed. In it, for every workflow assignee and/or dummy assignee, you see these details:
Linguist – The name of the user with a Linguist role assigned to the workflow or the name of the dummy assignee that has been used for cost generation.
Price – The total project cost is calculated based on the relevant user's rate cards and expressed in their billing currency. For details, see Changing a user's billing currency in the New rate card tab. If required, this value can be adjusted. For details, see Adjusting the relevant project cost details in the New costs tab. If an error occurred during cost generation process, a hyphen (-) is displayed in this column, in the relevant table row.
Non-analyzable files – The relevant user's charge for processing non-analyzable files, expressed in their billing currency. For details, see Changing a user's billing currency in the New rate card tab. By default, the value is set to 0. If required, this value can be adjusted. For details, see Adjusting the relevant project cost details in the New costs tab. If an error occurred during cost generation process, a hyphen (-) is displayed in this column, in the relevant table row.
Additional costs – The total for additional costs charged by the relevant user for the project, expressed in their billing currency.
Workflow step – All workflow steps in the projects to which the relevant user has been assigned, or all workflow steps for which the dummy assignee has been used for the cost generation.
Language combinations – All language combinations in the project to which the relevant user has been assigned, or all language combinations for which the dummy assignee has been used for the cost generation.
Words – The total number of words in all project files assigned to the relevant user. These can either be the source or the target text words, depending on the option that has been selected for the Generate costs based on setting.
ICE – The total number of ICE matches in all project files assigned to the relevant user. These can either be the source or the target text words, depending on the option that has been selected for the Generate costs based on setting.
Leveraged – The total number of 100% leveraged matches in all project files assigned to the relevant user. These can either be the source or the target text words, depending on the option that has been selected for the Generate costs based on setting.
If an error occurred during cost generation, you see the error messages that refer to the entire project at the top of the Project cost details popup. Select the chevron down icon on the right-hand side of the error notification row to expand it and see the actual reason. Additionally, errors that refer to a workflow assignee are displayed in the relevant assignee's table row, in the Project cost details popup. In this case, the red error icon
is displayed in the first column of the relevant assignee's table row, and their row is highlighted in red.
If required, you can adjust the relevant project cost details. For details, see Adjusting the relevant project cost details in the New costs tab. Otherwise, you can now close the Project cost details popup. To do so, select the close icon in the top right-hand corner or the Close button in the bottom right-hand corner of the popup.
If required, in the New Costs tab screen, you can also:
confirm the relevant project cost.
Important
The Confirm costs function is not yet supported in the New costs tab screen at this stage of the Beta program.
