Deleting a project cost in the New costs tab

If required, you can delete a generated cost in the New costs tab screen.

Important

New costs are a Beta feature.

Costs generated in the New costs tab screen are based on the details entered in the Users > Edit user > New rate cards tab screen. For details, see New rate cards.

Neither New costs nor New rate cards have any influence on the current project costs (managed in the Projects > Project Editor > Estimates > Costs tab screen).

Procedure. To delete the relevant project cost:
  1. Select Projects > Project list tab.

  2. From the Project list, select the project for which you want to generate costs.

    You can use the features in the Simple search and Advanced search tab screens to find the relevant project.

  3. In the relevant project row, select the context menu icon ellipsis_vertical_context_menu_brand_refreshed.svg in the left-hand side column.

  4. From the context menu, select money-bill-regular.svg Show Estimates . Then, select the New costs tab at the top of the screen.

    Note

    money-bill-regular.svg Show Costs will replace the money-bill-regular.svg Show Estimates option if your XTM Cloud Administrator has selected the Disable proposals in project estimates setting (for details, see Cost settings).

    Result: a list of all project costs generated so far for the relevant project is displayed in the New costs tab screen.

  5. In the project costs list, find the relevant cost.

  6. In the relevant cost row, select the context menu icon ellipsis_vertical_context_menu_brand_refreshed.svg on the right-hand side of the screen. Then, from the context menu, select Delete.

    Result: the Confirm popup is displayed.

  7. In the Confirm popup, select:

    • the Cancel button in the bottom right-hand corner or the close icon close_X-mark_from-UX-team.svg in the top right-hand corner of the popup to cancel deletion of the relevant cost.

    • the OK button in the bottom right-hand corner of the popup to confirm deletion of the relevant cost.

Result: a success message is displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Also, the relevant cost is no longer displayed in the list, in the New costs tab.
