Deactivating a new rate card
Important
New rate cards are a Beta feature.
Details that you enter in the Users > Edit user > New rate cards tab screen have no influence on the user's existing rate cards (managed in the Users > Edit user > Rate cards tab screen). During the Beta program, it is not possible to transfer the current rate card data to New rate cards. Seamless data transfer between the current and the new rate cards will be supported after the Beta tests are completed and new rate cards are implemented.
New rate cards have no influence on the current project costs (managed in the Projects > Project Editor > Estimates > Costs tab screen). They only influence new costs, in projects (managed in the Projects > Project Editor > Estimates > New costs tab screen).
You can deactivate an existing rate card temporarily so that it cannot be used as the basis for project cost calculation. You can also delete the rate card so it can never again be used as the basis for project cost calculation. For details, see Deleting a new rate card.
Select Users > User list.
Search for the relevant user. You can use the search box and filters to help you find them, in the user list. For details, see Searching for users.
Use the left mouse key to select the relevant user's row.
Result: the relevant user is displayed in the Edit user screen.
In the left-hand side pane of the Edit user screen, select New rate cards.
In the Users > Edit user > New rate cards tab screen, find the rate card that you want to deactivate.
In the relevant rate card row, select the context menu icon
on the right-hand side of the screen. Then, from the menu, select Deactivate.Result: the Confirmation popup is displayed.
At the bottom of the Confirmation popup, select:
Cancel to cancel rate card deactivation.
OK to deactivate the relevant rate card.
Result: a success message is displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. The relevant new rate card is deactivated and is grayed out and displayed at the bottom of the rate card list.

Important
You can now create a new rate card for the same language combinations and the same subject matter settings as the one that you have just deactivated. However, you can only have one of them active at a time.
