Activating a previously deactivated new rate card for an LSP

Important

New rate cards are a Beta feature.

Details that you enter in the Users > LSP Editor > New rate cards tab screen have no influence on the LSP's existing rate cards (managed in the Users > LSP Editor > Rate cards tab screen). In the Beta program, it is not possible to transfer the current rate card data to New rate cards. Seamless data transfer between the current and new rate cards will be supported after the Beta tests are completed and new rate cards are implemented.

New rate cards have no influence on the current project costs (managed in the Projects > Project Editor > Estimates > Costs tab screen). They only influence new costs, in projects (managed in the Projects > Project Editor > Estimates > New costs tab screen).

You can activate an existing rate card that has been temporarily deactivated. When you do so, the rate card can be used as the basis for project cost calculation.

Important

You can only have one active rate card for a specific subject matter setting combined with a specific language combination, for the relevant LSP. So, before you proceed, ensure that you deactivate or delete a rate card with the same settings as the one that you want to activate. For details, see Deactivating a new rate card for an LSP and Deleting a new rate card for an LSP.

Procedure. To activate a previously deactivated rate card for the relevant LSP:
  1. Select Users > LSPs.

  2. Search for the relevant LSP. You can use the search box and the Active and All buttons to help you find them, in the LSP list.

  3. Use the left mouse key to select the relevant LSP's row.

Result: the relevant LSP is displayed in the LSP Editor screen.

  4. In the left-hand side pane of the LSP Editor screen, select New rate cards.

  5. In the Users > LSP Editor > New rate cards tab screen, find the rate card that you want to activate. Deactivated rate cards are grayed out and displayed at the bottom of the rate card list.

  6. In the relevant rate card row, select the context menu icon ellipsis_vertical_context_menu_brand_refreshed.svg on the right-hand side of the screen. Then, from the menu, select Activate.

Result: the relevant new rate card is now active and can be used in project cost calculations.

Rate card activation process can take a moment. During this time, the context menu icon ellipsis_vertical_context_menu_brand_refreshed.svg on the right-hand side of the relevant rate card is grayed out. It means that no further actions can be performed on the rate card until it is active again.
