XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard 2.0

Downloading a report

Filter settings and any additional settings and selections that you make for charts (for details, see Additional actions for charts) and tables (for details, see Additional actions for charts) in a dashboard, are only visible to you. Other users in your XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard instance can make their own settings. So, to inform other users about important trends and other findings that you have discovered, you can share your dashboard view with them. There are many ways to do so. One of them is to download a PDF report and share it with the relevant recipients. They do not have to be XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard users. To do so, follow the procedure below. To read about other ways to share a dashboard, see Additional actions for charts.

To get the relevant report link:
  1. In the top right-hand corner of the screen, select the caret down icon caret-down-solid_black.svg next to the Share button.

  2. From the menu, select the Download report option.

Result: the Download as PDF popup is displayed.

  3. In the Download as PDF popup:

    1. specify which dashboard pages you want to export to PDF:

      • All Pages: all XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard pages will be contained in the PDF report.

      • Select Pages: specify one or more XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard pages that are to be contained in the report. When you hover over the relevant page, the grip lines icon grip-lines-solid.svg is displayed on the right-hand side of the popup. You can use it to drag and drop the relevant page into a different position and so change the order of dashboards, in the PDF report.

    2. in the Additional Options section, make the required settings:

      • Ignore custom background color: if you select this checkbox, your PDF report will have a white background, not the one you see in your XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard instance.

      • Add a link back to the report: if you select this option, your PDF report will contain a link to your XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard.

      • Password protect report: if you select this option, only users who know the password will be able to open the PDF report. Enter a password in the text field below the Password protect report checkbox.

    3. in the bottom right-hand corner of the popup, select the DOWNLOAD button.

Result: your PDF report is now saved to your desktop's Downloads folder.

  4. Share the PDF report with others. They do not have to be XTM Cloud Business Intelligence Dashboard users. You can email the report to them or share it in the instant messaging system that is used by your company.

Result: in the PDF file, the relevant users will see the relevant dashboard exactly the way you see it. So, all your filters and additional chart and table settings will be preserved.
