Costs & Savings dashboard features

In the XTM Cloud Premium BI Dashboard, in the top right-hand corner of the screen, you see the Earliest data collection date and the Latest data collection date fields. They show the actual range of dates from which the data displayed in the dashboard is taken (compared to the date range that you select in the date range filter).

The Costs & Savings dashboard is divided into 2 parts:

In the Costs details, you can:

  • see the Costs data at the top of the screen: Total Cost (total cost in a system currency).

    When you hover over the Total Cost, you see the View applied filters icon bars_filter_blue.svg above it. When you select this icon, you see the Applied filters pane on the right-hand side of the screen. In it, all the filters that you have selected are displayed.

  • use the filters below the Total Cost to display data from the relevant projects, according to the filter criteria you set:

    • Project Name.

    • Project Activity.

    • Customer.

    • User.

    • Target language.

    • Custom Field: the name of the custom field, as set in XTM Cloud.

    • Value: the relevant custom field's value, as selected in XTM Cloud.

    • Date range (project creation date).

  • use the following charts below the filters, which are listed below, after the note that applies for them:

    When you hover over a chart, you can see additional options above it. For details, see Additional actions for charts.

    • Costs per Customer: the total cost in a system currency per customer.

    • Costs per user: the total costs in a system currency per user.

    • Costs per target language: the total costs in a system currency by target languages.

    • Costs trends: the cost trends in a system currency. By default, the values are shown per quarter, but you can change the data display level.

In the Savings details, you can:

  • see the Savings data at the top of the section:

    • Total Cost without TM/MT (system currency).

    • Total TM Savings (system currency): the total savings in a system currency based on TM matching rates set up for specific users.

    • Total MT Savings (system currency): the total savings in a system currency based on MT matching rates set up for specific users.

    When you hover over the relevant Savings data, you see the View applied filters icon bars_filter_blue.svg above it. When you select this icon, you see the Applied filters pane on the right-hand side of the screen. In it, all the filters that you have selected are displayed.

  • use the filters below the Savings data to display data from the relevant projects, according to the filter criteria you set:

    • Project Name.

    • Customer.

    • Currency: the system currency and/or one or more of the Linguists currencies, as selected in their rate cards, in XTM Cloud.

    • User.

    • Step.

    • File.

    • Custom Field: the name of the custom field, as set in XTM Cloud.

    • Value: the relevant custom field's value, as selected in XTM Cloud.

    • Date range (project creation date).

  • use the following charts below the filters, which are listed below, after the note that applies for them:

    • Savings per Customer: the total TM/MT savings per customer in a system currency.

    • Savings trends: the TM/MT savings trends in a system currency. By default, the values are shown per quarter, but you can change the data display level.

  • use the Savings table. Savings are shown at step level. You see this information:

    • Project Name.

    • User.

    • Step.

    • File.

    • Currency. This is the relevant user's currency, as selected in their rate cards, in XTM Cloud.

    • Total cost without TM/MT. Reflects what the total cost would have been if no MT or TM had been applied. It represents the baseline for the TM/MT savings calculation.

    • Total Cost. The total cost of projects after including TM and MT.

    • TM Saved. The total savings generated by using translation memories. Calculated according to TM cost discounts configured in the user rate cards.

    • MT Saved. The total savings generated by using machine translation. Calculated according to MT cost discounts configured in the user rate cards.

    • Savings %. The combined savings (shown as a percentage) generated by the use of MT and TMs.
