Result: the Language mapping screen is displayed on the right-hand side of the Options popup. In it, you see a list of languages that have already been mapped. The list contains these columns: Trados Language and XTM Language.

  3. For the relevant language mapping, make the required changes:

    1. in the Trados Language dropdown, select the required value.

      Important

One Trados Studio language code can only be mapped to one XTM Cloud language code.

Example 3. Valid and invalid language mapping

It is possible to map Trados Studio language "ar_AA" to XTM Cloud language "ar_KW" AND, at the same time, map XTM Cloud language "ar_KW" to Trados Studio language "ar_IQ".

But it is NOT possible to map Trados Studio language "ar_AA" to XTM Cloud language "ar_KW" AND, at the same time, map Trados Studio language "ar_AA" to XTM Cloud language "ar_EG".

    3. Repeat steps a and b to make all required changes to language mappings.

  4. Once you have made all required changes to the relevant language mappings, select the Validate mappings button to check that there are no errors in your language mappings. Correct all errors before you proceed.

    Warning

If you select OK at the bottom of the popup without first selecting the Validate mappings button, and there are some errors in your language mapping, the Options popup will close and an error message will be displayed. In this case, none of your new language mappings, not even the correct ones, will be saved, so you will lose all your settings.

  5. If you are sure there are no errors in your language mappings, at the bottom of the popup, select:

    • Cancel – to abort editing language mappings.

    • OK – to edit the relevant language mappings.
