Deleting an existing language mapping in XTM Connect – Trados Studio

You can delete existing language mappings at all times.

To delete an existing language mapping:

  1. In Trados Studio, in the top left-hand corner, select File. Then, in the left-hand side panel, select Options.

Result: the Options popup is displayed.

  2. In the panel on the left-hand side of the Options popup, select File Types > XTM XLIFF > Language mapping.

Result: the Language mapping screen is displayed on the right-hand side of the Options popup. In it, you see a list of languages that have already been mapped. The list contains these columns: Trados Language and XTM Language.

  3. Select the relevant language mapping(s) for deletion. To do so, select the close_X-mark_from-UX-team.svg icon to the right of the relevant mapping.

Result: the relevant is removed from the list, but it is not actually deleted until you confirm the deletion.

  4. When you have selected all relevant language mappings for deletion, at the bottom of the popup, select:

    • Cancel – to abort deletion of the language mappings.

    • OK – to confirm the deletion of the relevant language mappings.

Result: the Options popup closes and the relevant language mappings are deleted.
