For Optimizely version 12: in the main panel, select the XTM Connect tab. Then, select the Add content subtab.
In the XTM Admin Tool screen, select the Settings option.
In the Settings section, make these configuration settings for this instance of XTM Connect – Optimizely:

Table 2. Settings sectionLabel
Description
Base Url text field
Enter the main address of the Optimizely site. It is used by XTM Cloud to send callbacks and to generate a preview of pages in XTM Workbench, using Visual mode.
Default Template dropdown
From the dropdown, select the default template that is to be used to create all XTM Cloud projects in this instance of Optimizely.
If new templates have been added to the templates list, or templates have been removed, you can refresh . the list, before selecting a template. To do so, select the Refresh templates button.
Publish content when it is finalized from XTM checkbox
If you select this option, translations received from XTM Cloud will be published automatically.
Enable automatic import checkbox
If you select this option, a callback will be sent to the Base URL whenever a project is finished in XTM Cloud. This will trigger automatic import of translated content back into Optimizely. For details, see the CallbackConfiguration setting in the XTM.config file.
Alternatively, the user will have to configure XTM Scheduled Jobs for automatic or manual import of translated content to Optimizely.
Note
If callbacks are configured, it is not possible to use Optimizely Scheduled Jobs to control reimport of the same translation jobs.
When you select this option, the Import content automatically dropdown is displayed below it: select the timepoint at which translated content is to be reimported into Optimizely:
Once the single job is finished.
Once the whole project is finished.
To confirm all the settings you have made, select Save settings.
Now make additional configuration settings in the XTM.config file, on your instance of Optimizely, if required. Also configure Optimizely Scheduled Jobs for translation reimport, if callbacks are not used.
