XTM Connect – Optimizely 1.5

Configurating translation-related settings in the XTM.config file

Once you have configured your instance of XTM Connect – Optimizely, you can make other settings, on Optimizely, which affect translation.

If required, make these settings in the XTM.config file. This file is located in the main folder in the project in which the XTM Connect.Episerver.NuGet package has been installed. These options are defined in these sections:

  • LanguageMaps: define your custom language code mappings here.

  • ContentConfiguration: specify which content blocks are to be excluded from translation here.

  • CallbackConfiguration: configure authentication options for the XTM Cloud callbacks that are sent to Optimizely here.

    Prerequisite

The Enable automatic import checkbox must be selected in the Optimizely configuration.

    Note

For more details about how callbacks are used, see Reimporting translations automatically with callbacks.

  • ProjectConfiguration: in this section, use IllegalProjectNameASCIIChar to define illegal (invalid) characters for project names. Use ReplacingChar to specify which characters are to be used, to replace illegal characters.
