Viewing a translation job's details and status
You view all the details for a translation job in the Job overview screen, in the Jobs tab. These details are all listed, from left to right, in the same line as the translation job. You see these details:
Detail name | Description |
---|---|
(Translation job status icon) | The translation job status icon shows you the job's current state. The different statuses are explained at the bottom of the screen, on the right, below the jobs list. To the right of the status icon for a translation job, you see the job's details, in the same line. These details are described below. |
LABEL | The translation job name, defined during translation job creation. |
FROM | The source language for the translation job. |
TO | A specific target language for the translation job. If a content item is being translated into more than one language, a separate translation job is created for each of those languages. This enables translation into one language to be aborted (cancelled) or the translation job can be deleted, without affecting other translation jobs for the same content item. |
PROVIDER | Contains the name of the translation provider selected for translating the job. |
PROGRESS | For each job, the PROGRESS column provides this information:
You can also see all the job item statuses at once. To do so, hover over the colored bar in the PROGRESS column: the job item statuses are displayed in a row. |
WORDS | The number of words in the source content item, which is to be translated. If a content item is being translated into more than one language, the WORDS value is repeated for each separate translation job that has been created for each of those languages. |
TAGS | The number of tags in the source content item, which is to be translated. If a content item is being translated into more than one language, the TAGS value is repeated for each separate translation job that has been created for each of those languages. |
CHANGED | Contains the date and time at which the job was last changed. |
On the far right of the screen, you also see the OPERATIONS column. In it, different buttons are displayed at the end of job-specific list rows. They vary according to the status of individual jobs. Use these buttons to perform actions that affect these jobs.
For details, see Jobs tab screen actions.
If required, you can also Resubmit an aborted translation job. (You actually do so in the Job Items screen.
