Translation job settings

Settings that affect the way translation jobs are created and processed are made in the Drupal Settings tab screen.

To make the settings in the Settings tab screen:
  1. Select the Translation tool bar button in the Home screen.

  2. In the Translation screen, select the Settings option. You see the Settings tab screen. Make this setting in the WORKFLOW SETTINGS section:

    UI label

    Description

    Allow quick checkout checkbox

To specify that translation requests (in the Sources tab screen) are to be processed immediately, without confirmation, select this checkbox.

  3. Make these settings in the PERFORMANCE SETTINGS section:

    UI label

    Description

    Purge finished jobs dropdown

If you want translation jobs that have been marked as finished to be "purged" (removed from the Jobs list after a set time), select the required time value from this dropdown. The translations in the purged jobs will not be deleted.

Submit continuous job items on cron checkbox

If you want continuous job items to be sent for translation in groups, in cron jobs, select this checkbox. Otherwise, these job items are sent for translation immediately, when content is created.

Number of job items to process on cron

To specify the maximum number of job items that should be processed (sent to XTM Cloud for translation) in one cron run, enter a value in this field. If the value is high, translation projects will be bigger and might take longer to process.

  4. Make this setting in the SECURITY SETTINGS section:

    UI label

    Description

Allow access to source for translators checkbox

To permit translators to make changes to source texts in translation jobs, select this checkbox.

  5. Make these settings in the TEXT FORMAT section:

    UI label

    Description

    Respect text format checkbox

To specify that content can be in formatted text, and not just plain text, leave this checkbox selected (default). You can then specify which formats are permitted: see the Allowed formats list, below.

    Allowed formats list

Use this list to specify which content formats are permitted:

    • To permit the editing of content in a specific format, select the checkbox next to its name.

    • To prevent content from being edited in a specific format, deselect the checkbox next to its name. It will be edited as plain text instead.

  6. Make these settings in the EMBEDDED REFERENCES section:

    UI label

    Description

Custom block (Slider Linked (Content) checkbox)

To include this content type in items sent for translation, select this checkbox.

    Content (Tags (Taxonomy term checkbox)

To include this content type in items sent for translation, select this checkbox.

  7. To save your translation job-related settings, select the Save configuration button. When you do so, a screen message informs you that the configuration options have been changed.

To leave the Settings tab screen, select the appropriate button in the toolbar.
