Directly via the URL

We recommend that you install TMGMT (the Drupal Translation Management Tool plugin) directly from the relevant (TMGMT) module page. It is quick and uncomplicated.

If this is not possible, for some reason, you can also do so from a downloaded plugin package. This might be necessary, for example, if you have previously downloaded the plugin package you require and have no access to the relevant (TMGMT) module page at the time you want to install TMGMT.

To install the TMGMT plugin directly from the relevant (TMGMT) module page (recommended):

  1. In your instance of Drupal, select the Extend tab. You see the List tab screen.

  2. Select the Install new module button. In the Install new module screen, you see the Install from a URL field.

  3. In a new tab on your computer, on the Drupal website, go to the main Translation Management Tool (XTM Connect – Drupal) module page.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page, to the Releases section.

  5. Select the name of the TMGMT release that you require. A page containing installation files (packages) for that release is displayed.

  6. In the Alternative installation files section, right-click on the installation file that you require.

  7. In the context menu, select the Copy link option. The installation file URL is copied to the Clipboard.

  8. Select the previous tab on your computer, which contains the Install new module screen.

  9. Paste the Clipboard contents into the Install from a URL field. Example: https://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/tmgmt-8.x-1.15.zip.

  10. To install the selected XTM Connect – Drupal plugin module, select the Install button at the bottom of the screen. The installation process runs.

Result: you have installed the XTM Connect – Drupal plugin on the Drupal server.

Now install the XTM Connect – Drupal plugin on the Drupal server.
