Checking for continuous jobs

A continuous translation job enables new and updated content to be sent to the configured translator, for translation, automatically and continuously. For more details, see Configuring and using a new continuous translation job.

  • The content in one continuous translation job is of a selected type, and for a specific language pair.

  • Other content types are not sent for translation in that particular continuous translation job. (A different continuous translation job could be created for a different content type.)

If a continuous translation job has been created for a specific content type, it will run automatically, at the time interval set for cron jobs in the Administration settings.

Triggering processing of existing continuous translation jobs manually

In the Sources tab screen, you can manually trigger processing of any existing continuous translation jobs. When these jobs run, job items of the relevant content type, in the relevant language pair, are sent for translation, if required.

To do so, select the Check for continuous jobs button in the OPERATIONS section.

Checking if a continuous translation job exists for any existing source

In the Sources tab screen, you can manually check if a continuous translation job exists for any of the existing sources in your Drupal instance. In each case, the check is based on a source's content type: if a continuous translation job for that content type exists, it is processed.

To trigger this check and processing:
  1. Select the All (continuous check only) checkbox button in the OPERATIONS section.

  2. Select the Check for continuous jobs button just above it.
